The Square Foot Show at Art Gotham Gallry
I have two paintings in the show at Art Gotham in Chelsea that opened April 5th. The premise: each artist was given one or more 12 x 12 canvases to do whatever they wanted with. The opening was completely insane, as you can imagine a show with 300 artists would be. There was a line going out the door just to get on the elevator downstairs, and you had to wait on another long line to get into the gallery. MY paintings are in the bottom photo, show is up till April 19th.

The Dresses
I dreamed I was walking along a path and came upon the ghost of a dead gnarly black walnut tree, its skeletal leaf fronds lying on the frozen ground. Several Victorian dresses were hung from the tree by silver chains. The dresses did not hang limp like laundry but were filled out, as if still occupied by invisible women. The dresses were breathing.
