New blog
I haven't been posting here, partly because I've been super busy, and away a lot. I had a place out in Montauk this past summer, heaven on earth. I just moved into a new apartment, and am expanding my workspace into what used to be my live/work space. But also because I started a new art blog at wordpress, I like the format they offer better. Check it out:

Artist Book Page
This is my finished page for an artist book organized by awesome painter Robin Ross. Each artist was given a 12 x 14 piece of canvas, cut from an old painting of Robin's. Tell me if you get my joke.

Coco rides her last wave
Coco died this morning. My fifteen year old chihuahua was hands-down the cutest dog in the world and everyone loved her. She was a good dog.
Two years ago I met Kathy Ludwig when she was in The Ryder Show, a portable art gallery in a moving truck. She painted Coco on the street that day. Kathy and I are still friends, here's her painting of Coco.

This is a colored pencil drawing I made of her in a sketchbook in 2005. What a good little doggie girl.

PURE Procession Prospect Park July 19 2008
July 19 was the day of the annual Public Urban Ritual Experiment Procession, held in Prospect Park this year. We performed outdoors in different areas of the park for 2 1/2 hours in 98 degree heat.
Here we are before the performance began, me on the left posing with Jessica and Tessarita. Don't we look gorgeous? I think Rick Giordano took this photo with my camera.
And here I am again at the very end, soaked with sweat, exhausted, dehydrated, stripped off half my costume, dancing a solo and grimly determined not to fall over.In spite of the heat, it was a beautiful experience. Ken Stein took this pic.
